Our educational philosophy of “Human Caring,” is derived from Red Cross humanitarian principles. This philosophy guides our educational policy, which is to educate nurses with practical skills, nurses who can provide care for those in need, while respecting human life and dignity; nurses who can continue to maintain their learning throughout the caring process. Based on this policy, we have created a curriculum that offers step-by-step support and guidance. Through this curriculum, our students deepen their knowledge of humans and humanity, and learn what kind of relationships they should have with their patients in order to provide care with the spirit of “Human Caring.”
As our students acquire nursing skills, they can implement ”Human Caring” by learning respect for human life and dignity, as well as developing the ability to act on their own initiative.
Students are required to be human-centered, to be independent-minded and creative, and to have a passion for learning. In reality, they will naturally become equipped with these attributes through the mutual support of their peers, through interaction with teachers, and through interpersonal relations during practicum.
Our school stands on a small hill overlooking the famous Torii gate of Itsukushima Shrine, a World Heritage site. Surrounded by the beautiful scenery of the Seto Inland Sea, our campus is filled with trees and flowers that change their appearance from season to season.
It is my sincere hope that those of you who are considering studying nursing will develop an interest in our distinctive curriculum and come to study with us in an environment blessed with abundant natural beauty.
